Understanding the Red Flags

Coercive Control

A pattern of controlling behaviors designed to isolate and dominate the victim. Examples include monitoring movements, restricting contact with friends & family, controlling  activities.

Sexual Abuse

Any non-consensual sexual activity, including pressure, coercion, or assault.

It can also involve degrading sexual comments or forcing unwanted acts.

Digital Abuse

Using technology to harass, monitor, or control. Examples include tracking devices, hacking accounts, sending threatening messages, or controlling social media activity.

Stalking

Persistent attention that causes fear, such as following, showing up uninvited, repeated calls, messages, or using technology to track movements. It often continues after the relationship ends.

Harrassment

Repeated, unwanted behavior intended to intimidate, humiliate, or distress. This can include constant messaging, threats, public shaming, or interfering with work and social life.

Physical Abuse

Involves any act of physical harm such as hitting, slapping, choking, pushing, or using weapons. It can also include denying medical care or forcing substance use.

Psychological Abuse

Involves any act of physical harm such as hitting, slapping, choking, pushing, or using weapons. It can also include denying medical care or forcing substance use.

Financial/Economic Abuse

Restricting access to money, preventing employment, or controlling all financial decisions. This creates dependency and limits the ability to leave the relationship.

“Peace of Mind When It Matters Most”

“This couldn’t have come at a better time, it is just the thing to help me to have peace of mind and it is incredible how someone in my position could have come up with this incredible idea that will save lives. I love the idea that I can also teach my young son how to call for help if I was to be taken ill”
