Supported. Protected. Empowered.

Putting strength in the hands of those who need it most.

Alongside our client work, we build our own products for people whose safety or independence is at risk — shaped by survivors, and by the professionals and carers who support them.

Ask Joan

Raise the alarm, without making a sound.

Ask Joan turns ordinary household appliances into a silent panic alarm. Someone who feels unsafe can call for help by flicking the switch of a kettle, an air fryer or a pair of straighteners — without saying a word, and without a device an abuser could find. Created by a survivor, it has been used in cases of domestic abuse, child abuse, stalking and harassment.

Rolled out through local services and organisations, with setup and support tailored to each area.

How it works

  1. 1Flick the switch on an everyday appliance — a kettle, an air fryer, straighteners.
  2. 2Ask Joan spots the unusual surge in power use and raises the alarm automatically.
  3. 3Alerts go to a chosen list of emergency contacts, one by one, until someone responds.

Cyril

See the early signs, before they become a crisis.

Cyril is a monitoring platform for vulnerable people living at home. It brings appliance use, IoT sensors and telehealth devices together into one view of daily life, so carers and support teams can notice subtle changes in routine or self-care — and step in early.

What it will do

  • Detect early warning signs of isolation, neglect or declining health.
  • Prompt timely, proactive interventions before issues escalate.
  • Inform personalised care plans with behavioural and health insights.

How we build

Built around the people who use them

Survivor-led

Survivors’ voices guide our decisions, so every product is practical, respectful and grounded in real needs.

Safety-led

Every product puts safety, confidentiality and trust first — because protection is the foundation of recovery.

Discreet by design

Help should never add to the risk. Our tools work quietly, through technology people already have, with nothing visible to give them away.

This couldn’t have come at a better time, it is just the thing to help me to have peace of mind … I love the idea that I can also teach my young son how to call for help if I was to be taken ill.

Have something ambitious to build?

Let’s work out how to make it real.

You don’t need to arrive with a perfect specification.

Tell us what you’re trying to build, what’s currently getting in the way, or where you need additional engineering capability.

We’ll look at the problem, ask the right questions and tell you honestly whether Viviplu is the right team.
